The garden club will be taking a special collection each month for the National Forest Penny Pines Program. For $68.00 approximately 350 cedar, fir, oak, redwood, pine trees will be planted on approximately one acre. This amount not only includes the seedlings but the clearing and preparation.
This program started in 1941 is open to both individuals or clubs and is a great way to honor or memorialize individuals. Other forest locations within California are available.
